I am seeking short term employment (weeks, month or max 1 or 2 years) as a fixer, change agent
or transitional executive. I am reinventing my career goals.

I am a hands on financial executive that leads by example, is an  accomplished technology and efficiency expert
that is skilled in RPA, systems and procedures.

I have the uncommon skill of rescuing and recapitalizing a failing bank and maximizing the value
of problem aka special assets. Unfortunately market demand for bank rescue skills is limited to
about two out of every 10 years.  In my opinion, the surge period is just underway and I am
making my unique skills available  to the market.  I also have a proven track record of  managing hundreds of
millions of dollars of troubled real estate loans.

After a long successful career as a C-Suite Executive, Banker, Fintech Pioneer, Innovator, and Entrepreneur, I am always seeking a new challenge. Walt Disney once remarked, “You reach a point where you don’t work for money. In fact, I like working. The more challenging the better. I innovate, and find a solution to the problem or task at hand. My Pioneering Internet banking in 1994 when the world was still on dial up is a case in point. I lead and train by example. At 21 I had lengthy career potential and little experience and knowledge. In my 70s I have broad experience and knowledge and no long-term career aspirations.

Remuneration will not be an issue. Market remuneration is fine. I am more attracted to problems then the pay rate. as a fixer, project leader, change agent, or fractional executive. I am confident that my skills and experience can be valuable to any business. Few with my post college work experience have years of manufacturing experience.

I embrace and simplify the complex and define the unknown. Since the early nineties, I have been one of the most successful FinTech and digital banking pioneers. I am also a skilled bank CEO, CCO, COO and CFO. I am seventy-four and my skills and ability should not be retired. Retirement has never been on my bucket list. I look forward to helping a business and passing my knowledge forward. 

I pioneered Internet Banking, as we called it in 1994, as president and Internet banking project lead of La Jolla Bank. In 2000, I was the initial founder, project lead and I then put a founding group together for the Bank of Internet (BofI), (name changed to Axos in 2018). The name was a tribute to A. P. Giannini and his banking innovation of branching at Bank of Italy in 1904. Giannini branched I took the next step and removed branches in favor of the Internet. The BofI name was changed to BofA (Bank of America) in 1927. As project manager at the new BofI, I also created the business model, guided the development, and trained staff for the new banking process that I created at Bank of Internet.

My financial and CFO skills are hard to match. I could serve as a fractional CFO for almost any business, including start ups and I would not accept any assignment that was not right for me. I collaborate well with engineers, programmers, staff, and boards. I can travel anywhere in the US for Short term projects (Up to 3 months) Longer-term projects are subject to US location, hybrid and fractional is fine as is remote for all locations.
